Sick of the del.icio.us bloat? Remember when it was just a nice simple bookmarking site? Well, now you can get back that simplicity with pinboard. I’ve been using Instapaper for a bit, which is great for stuff you want to read later, but it doesn’t cover the bookmarking and tagging ability of delicious.
Pinboard at first glance seems to be the best of both worlds, easy to read bookmarklets let you add stuff to a queue for later reading or you can bookmark for long term storage. Be forewarned, there is a one-time fee to setup an account. It will cost you…wait for it, this one isn’t normal, you pay (number of users * $0.001). I got in at $4.19, but Gruber posted about it, so that price will probably go up today.
