Amazon.com Launches AmazonBasics: Private-Label Electronics Accessories

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a total sucker for Amazon. I signed up for Amazon Prime a couple years ago to get free 2 day shipping for a coffee maker and still haven’t cancelled it. Between birthdays and Christmas and all the other crap I order from them it has paid for itself for me anyway.

That said, I’m pretty excited about this new announcement that Amazon is going to start selling a private label line of electronics accessories. I did a quick search to see what they had to offer. They have a 9 ft HDMI cable for $8.35. That’s pretty damn cheap, definitely competitive with monoprice (plus, I get my free 2-day shipping). I am curious what else they will be selling over time.

So, feel free to ignore me, because I’m a whore for Amazon, but if you need a cheap cable I’d say add them to your list. Definitely still price shop with blue jeans cables and monoprice though.
